Tapping on Resistance to Trying Something New
In today’s video, the issue that I wanted to address is around doing something new, the resistance, the fear around doing something new.
I wanted to see if we could help you clear that today, basically because if you are in business for yourself, if you’re an entrepreneur and there’s something new that you know will bring your business forward several steps and you’re feeling fear about it, you’re feeling resistance about it, obviously that’s going to keep you from growing and achieving the goals that you’ve set for yourself.
That something new could be something like doing some public speaking.
By the way, I do have another video that addresses the fear of public speaking, but it could also be participating in a podcast, or writing a blog post for somebody, or maybe learning some technology, and maybe you’re not all that technologically inclined, so it intimidates you a little bit.
You resist it.
It causes you fear, it causes you discomfort, and certainly if you’re feeling that way, and depending on what it is, it could absolutely hold you back from growing your business.
Let’s just see if we can help you let go of this so that you can move forward and achieve your goals more easily. Okay?
Starting on the karate chop point…
Even though I’m feeling a lot of resistance, there’s something new that I know I need to do, but it’s causing me a lot of fear and discomfort. I’m choosing to let this resistance go.
Even though I’m feeling a lot of resistance around this new project, this new endeavor, I feel uncomfortable about it. Maybe I feel some uncertainty that because it’s new for me I’m not sure if it’s the right course of action but the dominant emotion I’m feeling is fear and I’m choosing to let it go so that I can hear my intuition and better know if it’s the right course of action for me.
Even though I’m feeling a lot of resistance to doing this something new, taking on this new project or doing this new thing for my business, I feel uncomfortable it and I’m not exactly sure the reasons why but I’m choosing to release this block now and feel more comfortable about it so that I can tune in to my intuition better and understand whether or not this is the right course of action for me.
I’m choosing to let go of this resistance.
I have a lot of resistance around this new thing I want to do.
I’m not sure what the resistance is but it feels uncomfortable.
It feels scary and I’m choosing to release these emotions because this new thing might be really good for me.
It might be something that propels my business forward and so I’m choosing to let go of this discomfort so that I can hear my intuition and know whether or not it’s the right course of action for me.
I’m choosing to release this resistance, this resistance to doing something new.
It always feels uncomfortable when you do something new, when you take on a new project or learn something new.
It always feels uncomfortable at first but then once you get the hang of it, it starts to feel more comfortable.
I’m choosing to feel more comfortable when I think of this new project, this new endeavor.
I’m allowing myself to feel more comfortable, to feel more calm and confident when I think about this new endeavor.
I’m open to trying this new thing out.
Maybe it’ll be really good for me and that’s a part of me that’s excited about it so maybe that’s an indication that I should move forward despite my fear.
I’m choosing to feel more comfortable with moving forward on this new endeavor.
I’m allowing myself to feel calm and confident when I think about this new endeavor.
I’m choosing to move forward with this new endeavor with calm and confidence.
Take a deep breath and let it out.
