Tapping to Clear Frustration with Progress
in Reaching Your Goals
Today I wanted to discuss an emotion that can block you from achieving your goals that is frustration. When you are frustrated, the underlying belief is usually that you don’t believe that you can actually achieve your goal.
So what I recommend is that you first take a look at your goal and be honest about whether or not it is achievable. For example, I’ve worked with clients in the past who were making $30K/year at the time and their goal was to earn $1 million. That is a big stretch and so if this is the case with you, start with a goal that is perhaps double what you are currently earning or maybe 10-20% higher than your current earnings.
You can always change your goal again once you get there. And, what happens is that if you have a goal to earn 10 -20% more than where you are currently, with a few tweaks, it really shouldn’t be all that hard to get there and then you can celebrate!! When you celebrate your successes and achievements, it empowers you, it energizes you and builds your confidence. With a goal to earn $1 million it’s likely going to a long time before you are able to celebrate.
So, first adjust your goal and then, tap on your feelings of frustration. Let’s do that now.
Even though I’m feeling very frustrated right now with my progress, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I want to scream because it’s just not happening as fast as I would like, I choose to love and accept myself anyway.
Even though I might have trouble believing that I can even achieve my goal, I choose to be open to the possibility.
So frustrated with my progress
I want to be there now and I’m not
It makes me angry because I feel like I am being denied what I want
Part of me wants to give up
And another part of me is too stubborn to give up
But I don’t know why it’s taking so long to reach my goal
And it is frustrating for me
I feel like I am being blocked from achieving my goal
Maybe it’s because I don’t believe I can achieve it
I’m choosing now to suspend my disbelief
Others have achieved this goal
So why not me?
I am good enough
I am smart enough
I am capable enough
I am deserving of reaching my goal
Maybe my emotions and beliefs are blocking me from achieving this goal
I choose to be open to achieving my goal
And believing that it’s possible for me
I believe that it’s possible to achieve my goal
And, I’m excited about making it a reality
So, you will probably need to tap along with this video more than a few times to release your feelings and beliefs but you should start to feel more optimistic and excited about your goal.
One last point I want to make is that at other times, I’ve worked with clients who were very much into the Law of Attraction and The Secret and were under the impression that if you just get into the right vibration that you could attract the thing that you want without taking any action. In many cases, that is not the case and you do have to take some kind of action but when you get into the right vibration, you will find that inspirations to take certain actions will start to happen.
So, you might be inspired to make a phone call that will change everything. Or, you might feel inspired to run a Facebook ad to drum up some business. It could be anything but just be open to what might present itself to you.
