If you’re in business for yourself as a coach or service based entrepreneur and you’re not harnessing the power of social media and specifically Facebook, you are missing out. Live networking events are not what they used to be and you can network far more easily on Facebook and reach a far bigger audience in a relatively short amount of time.
For me, I used to attend live networking events but stopped because quite frankly, I wasn’t getting much out of it. Not only did it often take 20-30 minutes to travel to and from (that’s 20-30 minutes each way), I would be at the event for at least 1 hour and depending on the group, quite often longer than that, I would come home exhausted.
And, it would take me away from my family and being there for dinnertime, cost $20-$40 in gas and fees for food and attendance. With Facebook groups I can spend 20-30 minutes a day (often less time) and reach more people with my message, network and support others. I’ve found it to be far more effective being a busy entrepreneur and it costs a lot less.
So if you’re not already using Facebook groups to grow your business, here are some that you should check out and consider joining. I’m highlighting those that have varying numbers of members and varying topics of focus.
1. Social Boss with Caitlin Bacher
This is a large group with almost 27,000 members as of this writing. The group is focused on teaching members how to grow and manage a profitable Facebook group. Obviously Caitlin knows what she’s doing, look at the size of her group! She also has a highly recommended course called Fab Facebook Groups.
2. The Feminine Affluent Entrepreneur with Melissa Pharr
Another very large and active group with just over 15,000 members. Melissa is a Business Coach and does a lot of Facebook live where she shares awesome content on growing a profitable coaching business including list building and how to have successful sales conversations. She is also a master at Facebook live and a great example to follow for how to conduct profit pulling Facebook live sessions.
3. Coaches And Changemakers with Jan Marie Dore
This is a smaller group with 700 members as of this writing. I love Jan for a couple of reasons, first of all she is Canadian (like me) and she has been running her coaching business for 18 years. She is a master certified coach and shares a whole lot of great information from her vast amount of experience in the industry.
4. Women Winning Online with Jen Snyder
This is a mid-sized group among those featured in this post with 5,000+ members as of this writing. The group is focused mainly on blogging no matter the industry you’re in so if blogging is part of your marketing strategy or your entire business then I highly recommend this group as there are a lot of knowledgeable people there who can provide support.
5. Busy Moms Building with Monica Froese
This group currently has 2,700 members and is quite active. Monica is a Mom blogger and a Pinterest expert. If you are at all interested in including Pinterest as part of your marketing strategy then I recommend you join this group to learn more. Monica has had a great success with Pinterest and has a fantastic course that teaches others how to market their business and grow their audience with Pinterest.
6. Biz Babes Making Bank with Cassandra Davis
This group has 888 members at the moment and is also quite active. Cassandra shares tips on list building and growing and managing Facebook groups. In Cassandra’s group she is quite open about members posting their own promos in the group at any time but as long as you participate in the group as well. I love watching/listening to her Facebook lives because she is from the UK…love her accent.
7. Empowered Female Entrepreneurs with Marie Lexa
This group has 1,700 members and it’ another quite active group. I am fairly new to this group and joined because of a freebie Marie gave away called Your Roadmap to Leaving Your 9 to 5 which I enjoyed very much. It was well written and very professional so a lot of value for a freebie. At the present time, the only rule in this group is no paid promos but freebies are okay. But do check the rules for this group or any other before posting because you never know, rules can change by the time you read this.
8. Heart Conscious Entrepreneurs with Dina Marais
This group has 125 members at the present time. I met Dina through my membership with the Joint Venture Insider’s Club. Dina’s group is for Spiritual Entrepreneurs and she is a mindset expert. She also has lots of experience with creating and marketing digital products so you can learn a lot from Dina if you plan to create or already have a digital product to sell.
9. Ambitious Female Entrepreneurs with Sabrina Colella
Another group run by a fellow Canadian with 3,700 members at the moment. Lots of inspiring and active people in this group. Sabrina is a marketing strategist who helps female entrepreneurs fill their coaching practices with a consistent flow of clients using online strategies.
10. The Land of New Coaches with Barb Luliano
At the present time, this group has just under 1,300 members. It’s an active group where Barb is also open to members posting promos in the group so long as you also participate and add value to the group on a regular basis. Her specialty is helping new coaches set up and grow their businesses while helping them to build their confidence along the way.
11. The Intentional Entrepreneur with Sabrina Philipp
I joined this group because someone posted a Huffington Post article in another Facebook group about this 23 year old making 6 figures and living the laptop lifestyle. At the present time, Sabrina has 5,800 members in her group – WOW! I joined this group only a short while ago when she had approximately 4,000 members at that time so that alone is a reason to join and model the way Sabrina is building her business. She is a coach who helps other aspiring female entrepreneurs grow their businesses online.
Of course there is no shortage Facebook groups for Female Entrepreneurs. This list above includes my favourite groups where I am most active and that I recommend for women growing their online businesses.
Don’t forget to join my group the Female Entrepreneurs Success Club.
To Your Success!
